Virtual Rudolph
We were commissioned by the Yale School of Architecture to leverage digital assets of the Paul Rudolph designed architecture school to create a virtual social space for students during the COVID lockdown. Our project used Rudolph’s ink section perspective drawings as a graphic navigational interface to that allows students to explore the building as a whole in sectional view that allows a privileged view to understand who else was present in the building. Additional first person view experiences were created, initially the 6 on 7 student happy hour, that allowed for more immersive interactions among students using text and voice chats. Other experiences like badminton and gallery exhibitions were planned but not implemented as students returned to in-person learning.
